Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of Employ Directly, including its websites, accounts, job listings, profiles, applications, messages, and related features.

Effective date: 26 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-26

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms are an agreement between you and EmployDirectly, the operator of employdirectly.com.

By creating an account, accessing an account, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

By creating an account, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement to use the service.

By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

You may not use the service if you are under 18 or if applicable law prohibits your use.

2. The marketplace

Employ Directly provides online tools that help employers and jobseekers discover opportunities, share profiles and job information, manage applications, and communicate.

Employ Directly is a technology platform and is not a party to any employment, contractor, recruitment, or other work arrangement formed between users.

Employ Directly does not employ candidates, control how work is performed, negotiate work agreements, process wages, verify every user or listing, or guarantee that a user will be hired, paid, or suitable for a role.

Users are responsible for evaluating each other and agreeing directly on work, compensation, taxes, benefits, permits, working conditions, and other terms.

Employers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their listings, fair and lawful hiring decisions, and their duties as employers or contracting parties.

Employers must provide applicants with any required privacy notices and use applicant information only for lawful hiring purposes.

Jobseekers are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, applications, qualifications, and communications.

Take reasonable steps to verify an opportunity or user before sharing money, credentials, identity documents, or sensitive information.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

Provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your credentials, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

You are responsible for activity under your account, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.

Do not use the service to break the law, mislead or defraud another person, discriminate unlawfully, harass or threaten, post a deceptive job, distribute malware, scrape or harvest data without permission, interfere with the service, or bypass its access or security controls.

Do not upload information that you do not have the right to share, including confidential information about another person or organization.

You must comply with laws that apply to your use, including employment, anti-discrimination, privacy, tax, consumer-protection, and intellectual-property laws.

4. Your content and public information

You keep ownership of content you submit.

You give Employ Directly a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, transmit, and make that content available as needed to operate, secure, and provide the service and the visibility settings you choose.

This permission ends when the content is removed from the service, except where copies remain in backups, are retained for legal or safety reasons, or have already been shared with others.

Job listings and information you mark as discoverable may be visible to the public and may be copied, indexed, or cached by search engines and other services.

Applications, private messages, contact details, and other private account information are shown only as described in the Privacy Policy and the service's access controls.

You give us permission to use feedback you send us without restriction or payment, provided we do not identify you publicly as its source without permission.

5. AI-assisted matching

Some employers may enable an advisory AI compatibility assessment for a job.

Before an AI-enabled application is submitted, the service displays a separate notice describing the application evidence sent to the configured AI provider.

The assessment compares role requirements with your cover note, declared skills, education level and field, work-history titles, dates and descriptions, and screening answers.

As described in that notice, we omit direct identity and contact fields, organization names, portfolio links, compensation, employer background, and internal identifiers from the request, and replace matches for your display name in candidate evidence with “the candidate”.

The assessment can be incomplete, incorrect, or affected by the information supplied.

It is advisory only, and the employer is responsible for reviewing applications and making every hiring decision.

6. Paid features, billing, and cancellation

Some features require payment.

Before you pay, the checkout will show the applicable plan, price, currency, renewal interval, taxes, and other material terms.

If a plan renews automatically, you authorize the billing provider to charge the displayed amount at each renewal until you cancel.

You can cancel using the account billing controls where available.

Unless the checkout or applicable law says otherwise, cancellation stops the next renewal and paid access continues through the current paid period.

Plan changes may take effect immediately or at the next billing period as shown when you confirm the change.

Except where required by law or stated in the checkout terms, payments are non-refundable.

Payments and subscriptions may be processed by Creem or another provider identified during checkout, under that provider's terms and privacy notice.

7. Changes, suspension, and account closure

We may change, restrict, or discontinue a feature to maintain, improve, or protect the service or to comply with law.

We may remove content, limit features, suspend, or close an account when reasonably necessary to address a legal requirement, security issue, safety concern, suspected fraud, or violation of these Terms.

Where reasonably practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

You may stop using the service and request account closure.

Terms that by their nature should continue after account closure, including payment obligations, content licenses for previously shared content, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms, will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

8. Disclaimers and limits on liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”.

We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure in every circumstance, or that user content, job details, applications, or AI output will be accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Employ Directly and its owners, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, or data arising from or relating to the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Employ Directly for claims arising from or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to Employ Directly for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 100.

These exclusions and limits apply only to the extent the law permits them.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct and rights or remedies that applicable consumer, privacy, or data-protection laws make non-waivable.

9. Indemnity and disputes

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify Employ Directly and its personnel against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, your content, or your material breach of these Terms.

This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Employ Directly's own unlawful conduct, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date.

For a material change, we will provide reasonable notice through the service or by email where practical.

Continued use after a revised version takes effect means you accept it, to the extent applicable law permits acceptance that way.
